S2000 differences throughout world?

Oh... and can anyone tell me what the F__CK a PS is ?
I've been wondering this for 10 years.
PS is always quoted for motorbikes ... WHY PS ? Whats
wrong with normal stuff like horses and watts.
(i assumed PS = HP but it appears not to be true)

Kupe, this could answer your question:
I'm no conversion expert but 240PS seems to be the correct equivalent to 176kW (as al lthe German magazines print the power in PS and kW) ... so now all we need to know is whether 176kW = 240hp. According to my unit converter - 176kW = 239.3hp(metric) = 236hp(Electic). I'm not 100% sure which unit type they use in the States, but I'd pressume that it's not the 'metric' one. If they use the 'electic' unit then 240ps = 236hp = 176kW.
ps.

The UK/EU ones come with a free shower facility, you can wash on the go!

Japan also has the VGS model (variable gear steering) and additional external/internal colour combinations.
Japanese models come with a radio/tape as standard, but upgrades are offered. No headlight washers or rear fog lights available. No cruise control option.
But I think the one standard inclusion world wide is the huge grin
on the drivers face......

As I mentioned before, I don't think that statement is correct. US, UK, Europe and Australia all get exactly the same engine. Thereforere they all have the same amout of power ... the only country with more power is Japan.
If fuel quality is the reason for different power outputs in these countries, then keep in mind that most of the countries (if not all) have several different 'quality' fuels (ie. here in Aus we can but 92, 95, 96 and 98RON fuel).
Though, to my knowledge, the discreptancy in the quoted power figures between US and Aus/UK/Europe comes down to the fact that here in Aus they claim the 176kW with the 95RON fuel while in the US they could claim the 240hp (178kW) with 96RON fuel.
ps. I'm not sure what RON rating is the 'recomended' fuel in the States.
