The S2000 doesn't have headers
I've heard the term "header" used both ways. Sometimes it's used to refer to the pipes between the exhaust ports and the collector, in which case our cars do have "headers" (four of them). Others use the term to refer to the flange, pipes, and collector, as a unit, in which case our car has a "header" and V motors have "headers."
As long as the meaning is made clear by the context I don't see why it matters. A "header" is actually "the first part" or the "head", so gramatically it's the pipes, but common usage is ambiguous. Why make a big deal out of it?

...unless you swap in a V6 or V8.
I4 motors have an exhaust manifold, or a header. Headers would be where you have a V type engine and need TWO different exhaust manifolds, or header(s) - one for each side of the "V".
I had to dispell the myth once and for all. When referring to the S2000 or another I4 car from now on, don't say that your car has headers or you want to get headers, because it just makes you look silly like the people who say they like VTECH.

"That is neither hear nor their."
I hear that they're not here, because they're over there working on their car.
"I here that their not hear, because their over they're working on there car?"
(Homonyms can be fun.
)
Are you by any chance an English teacher?
