S2000 Don'ts - Your Input....
Hey all, I just got my MY04 S2K this last friday and my expression has been like this
since then. I LOVE the car, I can't seem to keep the top or the engine revs down
I
Anyway, as I new owner I'd like to know what are some "don'ts" with this car.
For instance, in my old '00 Z28 if you put the windshield wipers up (so you could clean the entire windshield) and then you opened the hood up, the windshield would crack and break. That was little known in the LS1 community and needless to say, some owners got a very unpleasant surprise.
On this car, I'm noticing that after only 4 days of ownership, I'm scuffing up the door step (the plastic around the plaque metal) when I get out of the car. I intend to correct the way I exit and enter the car to avoid further damage.
Anyone want to give their input on what else NOT to do or other DON'Ts?
thanks

don't park near other cars
don't follow too close, especially in the freeway
don't put the hood up with the wipers pulling outward
don't let other people drive your car, especially your so called friends

Hmmm...
Don't push on the hood to close it. You'll dent the lightweight aluminum. Instead, drop it from a height of 12 to 24 inches.
Hey! Anybody have the "Letter to Dealer" that was put together several years ago? The one that instructed the dealer on how to handle the car, since none of them knew already? That's a great resource for this sort of thing.

That is the biggest of all "no-no's." Gotta love the tv, playstation, and dvd player

oh and FJs2000, just dont do anything stupid. its a new car and they are quick and handle very well. dont test your limits unless you know them and the car. the highways and streets shouldnt be the death of the s2000. take it slow, get used to the car. drive safe everyone...

don't drive it another mile if you aren't 100% positive that the spring spacers were removed by the so-called pdi professionals at your dealer.
News to me.... got any links to where this can be explained?
