Default S2000 drag coefficient

Anyone know what the drag coefficient is for a stock S2000 with the top up?

I wanna say I read .31 somewhere, but can't remember or find the info again.

Just out of curiousity, but why do you need the number? Trying to calculate how far you could jump it?

lol no. i have a guy who is arguing with me cuz he said he ran 160mph on the salt flats with 228whp in his civic, and he says since the S2000 only could run 153mph with 255whp, then his civic must have a better drag coefficient.

the drag coefficient on the 7th gen is .32

Yeah, must be the drag coefficient and probably nothing to do at all with the gearing or lack of adjustment for aftermarket wheels

Who knows what kind of gears he was using since he obviously has done some extensive mods. You'd think he'd start with a more logical explanation than comparing drag coefficients. I guess some people just like to sound like they know alot about physics.

Also, I guess he has his own S2000 or a friends that is modded to have 255whp. Does he know that the S2000's come with just over 200whp depending on the model?

BTW, does anybody know the difference (if any) between the coefficients of the new and older style S2000's?

He was referring to the S2000 car that competed in G/GT class. it was a project done in 2002 by car and driver's tony swan and west tech racing.

here's the thread. his post is about half way down. user name mirage. the original post was someone asking what the top speed of the S2000 was.
