Don't believe everything you read on S2kI.
RED!! Hi.

I think the video shows that it can be a little tough to drift without a little more power to keep the traction broken, otherwise you'll need some extreme speed and agressive drift angle to maintain it for long sweeping curves.

Cool vid tho!

I think if the strait b4 the "drift corner" were a bit longer he wouldve done much better, from the video it looked like the skill was there just maybe not the speed

For sure, my car was a lot easier to drift after we added the supercharger, but I think the bigger problem is the limited steering lock. In any event, an S2000 wouldn't be my first choice for a drift car for a number of reasons, but that doesn't mean that they can't be drifted. Even with a stock engine, it's VERY easy to get the tail out, but keeping it there without running out of steering lock and spinning is non trivial.

It's actually easier to drift a Miata, in spite of the shorter wheelbase.

Given the cost of older S2000's now, they're probably a great car to LEAEN drifting. If you can throw long drifts in an S2000 you can probabaly drift almost anything.

im looking to set up my car for drift in the future. i tried to see how the car reacted by messing around in a parking lot. i noticed that it tends to snap back straight making it difficult to transition back and forth. do you guys think a 2-way lsd would help in making the transitions smoother and cause the car to be less snappy?
