Default S2000 engine rotation---> Need help

Currently owned a Lotus Super 7 (950lbs) with Hayabusa turbocharged engine. I think I blew my engine @ 405hp run.

At this point, just contemplating to use my S2000 engine. Without knowing anything about this engine, I heard the engine rotates different than traditional car.

3 Questions---> if I'm setting in the car, Is the S2000 engine (driveshaft) rotates clockwise?
If it is, my cosworth differential will not work, the car will move backwards.

Do you think I might have to use the S2000 differential instead of my Cosworth?

Is it possible to put a" little" (8-10psi) boost without changing fueling system and some internals?

Thanks a million

The older Honda engines spun CCW, but I believe the F20C is the first to have spun clockwise. The rest of Honda's line up also spins CW now, so this shouldn't be a problem.

You can probably still use the Cosworth diff if you can get the driveshaft to bolt up.

And I think the stock fuel system is pretty maxxed out for boost, but I could be wrong. Someone can probably answer your last 2 questions better then me.

Good Luck.

Don't know about the rotation, but you can bolt on a comptech supercharger with 5lbs of boost with no changes to the internals. Some have even run 10lbs with no changes to the internals with good results. I wouldn't go anything over that without getting some sort of internal reinforcement or lowering the compression.

The S2000 engine rotates like a normal engine. Only older hondas were CCW.

Thanks guys....really appreciate those tips. I am glad I can still use my Cosworth differential.

A guy from New Zealand emailed me, he said not to turbo the engine. The current setup is already too diabolical and no need to put more power. Its a waste since the car only weigh in at 950lbs.
He said, it can beat any supercar in the world including the Porsche GT3.
He has the same as mine he uses S2000 engine (aspirated).

Well, another question... what do you guys do to upgrade the power just a "little bit'
without turbocharging?

You can always use more power.....if you can put it to the ground. If not, its kinda pointless.
