I know it's been done...lots of times. The Monster Miata and Mega Monster Miata are the two most popular versions.

I understand and very much respect the intent of the design of both the Miata and the S2000. I LOVE small, lightweight roadsters, but I also can't deny the appeal of what was done back in decades past with the relatively light AC Ace to morph it into the 289 and 427 Cobras...or the Sunbeam Tiger.

There's something to be said for hoodlum cars!

Besides, if what the designers and engineers at the factories did was the pinacle of automotive design and engineering and appealed to everyone what would be the sense in an aftermarket?

They dont have as high of a specific output but they are more tolerant of the darkside.
I never said it was a good idea. I agree with you. Hell the K motors are putting 200hp to the wheels with IHE and Hondata flash. I would much rather do that or FI or even build a K24 with type S head

The only motor I'd put into my S2000 is a fully built Hytech K20A motor.

But I don't think it would work.

270 NA WHP out of a 2 litre would be amazing though

If this is true, then the K series motor rotates the same direction as the F20C. Because I know the K series rotates the opposite direction of most other Hondas.
