Default S2000 engine tilt

Being relatively new to the forum, please forgive if this question seems a bit novice. When I look at the way the engine sits in the S2000, it sure seems to slant towards the passenger side. I know this is normal, but why?

2005 S2000 white/tan and loaded on order. Delivery mid-November.

I was told it was to make the engine fit under the hood better. If it was straight up and down it would be to high. I think a lot of engines are like this. Sure helps on oil changes.
