i have a 2001 civic and my riend gave me is stock s2000 mufflers for 100 for the pair. i wanna put a duel exhaust and i figured the s2000 is quiet. but when i was looking at the mufflers i saw a loop in the back of the muffler....my friend told me its the resonator...is that correct? lemme know thanx

No, what you have are the actual mufflers - "reverse flow" mufflers. ie, the exhaust goes in one end, back in the other direction, goes out of the muffler and comes back in via those loops, reverses direction again and goes straight out the back.
Why did you buy these things? They are heavy as hell.

I WANTED A DUEL EXHAUST ON A CIVIC AND NOT SUCH LOUD EXHAUSTS

 

I believe the resonator is a small off shoot, dead end pipe further up the exhaust system of the S2K. Am I correct folks?
