Here are some updated pics of the gate shifter I built a few monts back. Most everyone suggested that I lower it so I did.
I also made the shaft a little thinner and added a leather under boot instead of the rigged plastic one. The plastic one would chatter against the plate
Now that I have some miles on it, I can say that it shifts out so nice and smooooth
I only missed one shift with it and that was just after the first few days of getting use to it.
First install/before
The new set up the shifter sits at OEM hight
It is an open gate because of how close each gear is from side to side. The gears over lap each other. The shifts are 30% shorter than stock.
I am working on a full gate set up. It will be about 6 to 8 months before it will be ready

i don't see any gates....just a hole in a metal plate.
It is a bit more than "just a hole in a metal plate". That said, there is nothing in the shift area that is Honda it is all a one off fabrication The floor consol is the only thing Honda.

don't really care for the shifter, but how did you install the VGS wheel??
The shifter is just something I wanted to try. Not everyone likes it and thats cool but I like it and it gets a fare bit of attention when I take the car to a meet
As for the wheel it's a spline transplant and that is simplifying it.
Thanks
