S2000 to get 6spd Auto
I'm disappointed with Honda..
Auto S2000 sounds as bad as auto M3s... (unless it's SMG)
And forget those auto porsches... Porsches are overpriced VWs
that are made for rich bastards who can afford them not for
the enthusiasts...

I am glad to make a personal comeback from a 10+ year hiatus to driving a manual transmission daily. Further, I think Honda has a fab clutch/tranny setup.
However,
If I were Honda management and wanted to reach more customers with a 7+ year product cycle life left, I think developing an auto six-speed would be a great idea.
Honda doesn't have an auto six-speed available in any other car currently (correct me if I'm wrong on this point). This would be a great springboard for some R&D.
I wouldn't be surprised to see further changes that may "horrify" our S 2000 community.

It definitely would be done for sales. I was talking to one of the the salesguys and he mentioned that they had sold their yellow one because the guy was going to buy it for his daughter but she didin't know stick so he bought it for himself and gave her the SUV.
The "auto" could be a "manual-matic" i.e. an automatic stick, a la the F-1 355's, 360's.
That, I would buy!!!
