Default S2000 getting "long in the tooth"

recently, I started developing some mixed feeling towards my S2000... it is not as fast compared to other cars as it used to be.
i understand, it is 7 years old, but the uneasy feelings still develop.
when I just bought it, I could EASILY take MOST cars on the road, and I mean EAASSSIIILLLYYYY.
yesterday, I had to put some serious effort to pass a new MB c-class that was being agressive with me.
don't get me wrong... the S can still kill a civic, focus, camry, or an accord (maybe not easily, if the camry or the accord are V6 versions)... i am just sad that it is not as fast in comparision to other cars as it used to be
maybe its time to get a 08 Vette... if not I still have my Ninja

If acceleration is the only issue your having now...why not just turbo it? Cost less then an 08 vette.

A lot of S2000 folk are going with the 335i coupe as I did.

the car was made for turning not for traffic light racing. if that's your priority the vette may be a good choice indeed.

I'm waiting on the 135I from BMW. Lighter then the 335 and same engine. Better suspension. Only thing that makes me cry is they decided not to incorporate LSD. Hopefully the next year after debuting the car they add LSD. That's the only thing holding me back. Otherwise my other choice is long from being made... 09 TL-S (supposedly SH-AWD and 300+ HP)

Yea... but now a days Civic Si's can hit corners "almost" as well as an S2000... and C6 Vette's corner better than S2000's.

When I was a tyke, my dream car was a Ferrari 308. Low slung, gated shifter, it had to just fly. About 10 years later, I remember seeing a Lexus commercial that pitted an LS400 against a 308, red light to red light. The Lexus beat it by 2 car lengths. They say that time is the great equalizer. True for life, true for cars.

I read in Hemmings Classic car, that if you wanted something close
to a modern Ferrari 308, it was the S2000.
