Is this s2000 a good buy?
Hello,
I was wondering what you would offer for this car and if you think its a good purchase. The soft top has a tear, the headlights are cloudy, and the ac may or may not work. Besides these, everything else appears fine. The engine was swapped for an ap2 one which has 77k miles on it and the transmision was also swapped and has around 50k miles on it. Should i buy this car or save up and buy one with less miles?

You can find a much nicer car for 13k. There has to be a reason both the tranny and engine were swapped, did the owner beat the Piss out of it? Was the swap done right
?Who is to say he stopped beating on it. Idk, there's too many variables so If I were you I'd keep looking for one that hasn't been swapped since you can find a lower mileage, clean ap1 or possibly ap2 for a little more.

Agree with the above, and I don't like the pictures in the ad, they're awful. Though it's better than no pictures, unless he's highly negotiable on the price I'd keep looking.
My ap1 is nicer, lower mileage, original engine and transmission, and will actually be asking less than $13,000 when I list it.

It does say OBO..... I think it's a nice mix with the red interior. Body looks like the paint has clear coat fading. I would def negotiate price but if it runs good and all checks out with vins and carfax, it's prob a good deal. Doesn't hurt to check it out. I don't think you're going to find 65-70k mile cars for lower than 13k dollars. I mean anything is possible.
