I'm surprised at the reflex reaction to the Miata as being beneath consideration by "sports car" people.

My experience has been very favorable at two out of three Honda dealerships I have dealt with. Too bad for me the bad is my local dealer.

As for Honda mechanics, I hope I never need one but I'll wait until I do before I judge them.

I can also add that the worst Honda dealership was better than any of three Mazda dealerships I tried to work with.

No you just have a super WRX. You know, the one that defies the laws of physics in the mind of the owner.

Ummm... the first (SCCA Nationals) are from the SCCA web site and are the official, timed results from the SCCA Solo nationals. If there are other times for the race than those that are on the SCCA site then the other times are incorrect.

SCCA is (despite its other flaws) unbiased as to cars. In other words, SCCA autocross results are one of the best independent, objective ways to quantify handling (just as Nurburgring is one of the best ways to objectively quantify performance on surfaces other than dirt).

The majority opinion on this board is that the Miata is a great car and that the S2000 wouldn't exist if the Miata hadn't come first.

Hey Jason what's up it's Derek. Welcome to the board.

Have you driven Chris' ITR on Page Mill or anything similar? I think Shea-bird is interested in mountain road twisties. Oh and how's the understeer in the ITR? Manageable?
