Glad you are okay! Some good advice on here too! I usually have my phone around but I would put it on a chair or table, I definitely wouldn't be able to get to it if I was pinned under the car! The winter tire under the side is a good suggestion too, better to sacrifice that then yourself!

I wouldn't bet on that. I'd say that 95% or more cases of cars falling off stands have resulted in death.

 

Really? I hear that 87% of all statistics posted on this forum are bogus.

Clearly you did not have the front end drop on you. I'm always worried about my head so I spend most of the time next to the car with an arm stuck underneath. That is, till I get so tired of wasting time that I eventually crawl under completely and worry about how sad it'll be living the rest of my life once my face gets crushed.

 

I figure when a 1 to 2 ton hunk of metal falls on people there's a good chance of death involved there. It's kind of like taking a bullet to the head, some will live but not many.
