Glad you're okay. I always use jack stands and wheel chocks, but I've been complacent in checking for stability before working underneath. This will remind me to check.

thats pretty scary

i use jack stand and i keep the jack under there but no weight just locked and just touches the underside of the car..

I am simply dumbfounded at how many people here have admitted to also not using jack-stands... really? reaaaally?? Come on guys. There was a local teen that died a few months ago from working under the car with out jack stands. It's just such a senseless death. To the OP, glad you're alive and willing to tell your story so other people may learn from your mistake.
