Default s2000 history

Now that the s2000 is part of history, I want to bring back some memories.
It will help the new kids respect their s more.

It was NEVER 'just a car',

it's honda's special baby:

"The S2000 was launched in April 1999 in world markets to celebrate Honda's 50th Anniversary. The name was chosen for its engine displacement of 2 L and carried on in the tradition of the S500, S600 and S800 roadsters of the ‘60's."

I seem to recall that early in the concept stages the car was going to be a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder.

A 94 Vigor was my first car I miss it. The Vigor was pretty quick, must faster than my current 98 Accord. Maybe it is fitting that my next/ dream car is an S2000. Be interesting to know why they choose that engine.
