Default S2000 Or IS300???

Hey Wats Up Fellow S2k Owners, I Need Some Suggestions. Im Thinking Of Purchasing A Brand New S2000 Or Is300. I Always Wanted An S And Now I Have A Chance To Actually Get One!!! But The Only Problem Is, I Have A Baby On The Way, Thats Where The IS Comes In! Im In A Dilemma! My Daily Driver Is A 98 Lude. I Recently Got Hit By A Drunk Driver A Few Weeks Ago Who Ran A Red Light And Damaged My Vehicle, So Now I Have Insurance Money And The Money I've Been Saving From Working For My Down Payment! What Should I Do? Go With The S2k Or Is300?????

I don't own either cars, but if I were in your shoes, I'd probably opt for the IS300 because of the baby.

Search around, this is a very common question, but in your case, the IS300 does sound like a better route to go. It is a lot of fun, just not on par with the S2000, wait a few years and get an S2000 as a second car

I would split the difference and check out an EVO or STi. 4 door, lots of go, and awd which would come in handy where you live for those nasty winter months. However if you are choosing solely between the S or the IS then I would say the IS is a better idea in your situation.

I own both also and if you have a baby on the way then I would get the IS300. Super mod friendly and loads of fun to do donuts in lol.

My friend has an IS300 and i have an S. If you want the performance than i'd say go with the S. But you are going to be a father, and you should think about your future. If your wife has a car though, then i would say get an S and when you need to cabby the baby you can use your wifes car and she could drive your S. Believe me the S is well worth it, the IS-300's performace as in Handling insn't that good, but they are very good, safe, nice cars. If it's just you, i say get the IS and think about your future and maybe when the baby grows up he/she could be in the passenger seat of an S.

I was making the same choice, I went with the S, b/c I don't have a family or anything like that. In your situation, IS300 definitely. The safety rating is outstanding. Go with the IS300, nice car, safe, decent performance when you don't ahve the kid with you.
