S2000 Or IS300???
It sounds like the category your looking at is around 30-35k cars, your definately going to need 4 doors with your baby on the way. While you may want that s2k really bad your prolly going to regret it once that baby comes and you have the baby seat and all the other things that come along with the baby. But on the otherhand you still sound like you want the power. So if I were in your situation it would narrow the list down to a evo8 which i didnt enjoy driving at all shifting was horrible and didnt like the interior at all. STI which personally I liked alot better than the evo. Then you have the more luxurious cars M3 or a G35. You just have to decide which car is better for you, but you have to think ahead like 3-5 years down the road to because whatever decision you make you dont want to make a decision and regret it latter.

Just a comment from the new guy on the block but old guy when it comes to kids.....You can't put a Baby seat in the S2K.....There is not way to turn off the passanger side airbag (at least on my 2001).
i checked out the Rx-8 yesterday...looks hott, but i dont like the motor. next i checked out a pearl white G35 coupe, i fell in love and it had enuff room for a baby seat in the back! what do you guys think?

If you must carry a child in the S, there are numerous threads on installing a passenger side airbag cutoff switch and using infant/child seat/boosters safely--just do a search on 'airbag switch'.
As for the IS300, RX-8 and other cars with small back seats, be sure to FIRST buy a good child seat and then TRY IT OUT IN THE CAR. Many seats do not fit properly in certain cars' back seats. Your child's safety must come first so buy a GOOD seat and make sure it fits perfectly!
If this will be your daily driver, forget the S and go with the Lexus IS300 or BMW 3-series as they are very safe vehicles and most child seats should fit well in their rear. As a parent, you will be carrying ALOT of stuff-strollers, diaper bags, change of clothes, toys, etc. and there is NO WAY to do that with an S--you've got a shot with a four door! Good luck.

Yeah, I'd go with an IS as well. Actually to be honest I agree with the others who recomend going with a used car. The problem with new cars is that you will be upsidedown on your loan or at the very least lose a lot to depreciation and with a baby you just never know when you'll need that money. If you get stuck with a car you can't afford it won't just be you eating ramen noodles for months it could effect your family as well. I'd recomend going used, but that's just me.
Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
