sorry someone might have posted somethign about this but i was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost or the average price for a car key replacement for my 00' s2000 and where? i know the ap2 now have some different type of laser cut but i was wondering if anyone knew for ap1 or 00'. thanks a lot.

 

I think AP1 keys are around 70 usd a key, and another 100 bucks for the dealer to program the immobilizer.

 

Is the key itself $70, or is that the cost to buy it and cut it?

Also, how much is a key body? My AP2 key has gotten worn-out looking, and I'm thinking of replacing just the handle part.

 

70 is just for the key itself. Then the 100 dollar includes cutting and programming (for an AP2 key).

The AP2 key with the S2000 logo (the one that looks really nice! ) runs from 160 to 200 -- I've gotten different quotes from dealers around the area I used to live (New York). The normal (ugly looking) AP2 key is around 70 to 100 if I remember correctly ...

 

I guess I'll just be buying some silver spray paint then!
