Default S2000 Launching Techniques

Hello everyone . How do u launch your cars? at which rpm? 4000 , 5000 , 6000 ???
and do u do it with revving to the rpm and the gear is inside one ; and do u only take your feet away from the clutch ??? If experienced drivers can teach this fully to us it would be great. Thanks for your help people .

p.s i want to launch my 05 s2k well because i had some problems with loaded 306 gti's and 330 ci's Thanks:::

I launch my S between 5000-7000 rpm depending on the road surface. Sometimes during shifts I just keep my foot on the throttle and sometimes I dont.

that is a very very bad habit to get into, you'll muller your clutch and damage the box too, I've heard of quite a few yanks that do that as they're not used to driving stick. It's not good at all

always try to launch above 5500 and if you spin to much try to feather the gas a li'l but not with the clutch b/c you'll burn it....if you launch below 5500 you might get it right a few times but when you don't and bog thats when you can get that rear end in a 1000 pieces.....BTW do a li'l SEARCH there is a lot of posts about launching......

Rev up to about 6500-7000 rpm, and drop the clutch....quickly. You need to let the clutch up as fast as you can. I have only done it 3 or 4 times, but no nasty noises, no smells of burning clutch. Just make sure you don't bog.

i am not an expert on launching cars, but dropping the clutch seems like a bad idea to me... maybe it is a bit different on RWD cars b/c you can spin the tires more easily (I come from 4WD background where dropping the clutch usually meants busted tranny)

i usually rev it up to the rpm the car produces the most torque
when the light changes, i let go of the clutch, but i make sure I don't just drop it... i let it slip *just a tad bit* and it is history from there...

This inst an awd car. You have to be carefull what you recomend to people. Slipping a stock cluth in this car is a very bad idea. Youd should always launch obove 6k rpm for "normal" conditions in this car. You need a little tire spin so there is no strees on the rear end. If you keep launching like that something will go eventually.
