if it comes out in 05 ill buy 07 so my current is paid off
I will keep it buy the New one
Our current engine?? we all know specs
I figure
new Intelligent Vtec still the newest wildest 4 cyl NA
the guros can estimate size power, 2.2, 2.4?? 280/180???
redline..make it sing to 11k?
Lighter by 150-250 lb??
17 in Forged wheels
update suspension
since it is already 6speed
paddle shifter
SINGLE EXIT EXHAUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its a 4 cyl for christs sake
brake ducts that arent fake
better aero work..ie vented hood
NOT a Convertible
visors that actually block the sun
a decent..i say lightly.. stereo
maybe a few Carbon fibre pieces(might mess up price)
and dont fix what isnt broken...the steering unit, the frame
etc
finally..just modernize the 5 yr old design

so i figure still under 40K

technology my friends....

I don't think Honda wants to create or sell something that would cost more than $40K. That is why they have the Acura line. If Honda did go over $40K that then what is the point of having Acura? Get what I am saying???

Looks a lot like my wish list but I did forget the brakes. Those "retarded Honda single-piston caliper crap" brakes do work well though (for the street). However, I'd also like to see big Brembo brake kit like the one offered by Comptech.

2800 pounds or less? That's what it weighs now! It needs to be couple hundred pounds lighter (at least). I vote for 2500 pounds.

Mugen has been playing with 2.2l for about 2 years now. Honda will probably use that engine and the new car will be called S2200. It will have i-VTEC, about 280 hp with about 195 lb-ft of torque. We won't see an I-5 or I-6 in the car, to many performance negatives for that to happen.

The original concept car, the SSM had a 2.5l V-5. Personally I'ld like to see a small V-6, a 2.6 or 2.8 liter engine meeting the same performance standards as the F20C. A V-6 would actually move the engine weight farther back from the front axle and would improve this car's low polar moment of inertia. ie even better handling ! Either engine would produce around 300+ hp with 240+ lb-ft of torque. That would be to big of a jump for Honda though, moving from a 2 litre I-4 to to a 2.8 litre V-6. Honda seems to move in small steps once the car is in production. Look at the original S series some 40 years ago. Honda's first roadster was built back in the early 60's. It was the S360, 33hp at 9,000 RPMs, next came the S500 44hp at 9,500 RPMs, next came the S600 57hp at 8,500 RPMs, and finally the S800 with its 70hp at 8,000 RPMs.

The original concept car had an I5. Honda's first V5 ever is in the Moto GP RC211V bike.

The 2.2 would be difficult for Honda unless they enlarge the bore substantially (which would require a whole new block casting). If they did create one, don't expect that much output. 280 hp maybe, but the torque would be lower - in the 170-175 lbs-ft range. I-VTEC does nothing to increase peak torque - it only broadens the curve. 80 lbs-ft/liter is about as much as you could expect on a pump gas engine w/o forced induction.
