S2000 makes Forbes Top 20.......
well forbes may think the s2000 is a dangerous car...but i think that if i were to die...i'd be happy dying in my S2000! ... what do you expect...IT'S A CONVERTABLE...of course it's dangerous...hehe...anyways. the S2000 was made for car lovers everywhere and Honda's anniversary vehicle. if you think about it the only reason someone would purchase an S2000 is for the love of the car. i've never heard anyone who HAS driven the car say they didn't appreciate it. safe or not... (not to mention the people who do drive it for the first time usually step on the gas peddle and forget all about safety for the sheer reason of how well the car rides and handles.)
...but non the less...we own an S2000 because we love the car. others just see it as another low torque, 4-banger HONDA. being a man...i see it as... (as many others would refer to it...) MY BABY...one of the best low torque 4-bangers ever built.

I'd just duck to the middle of the car and put my arms over my head
BTW: Here are some explanatory pics of a car crash test with no side airbags, pay particular attention to how the dummy's head hit the "truck-like" object.

I don't know if you all remember this video and the aftermath pictures.

Both driver and passenger walked away.

if someone cuts a red light and t-bones you at 65, i dont think its gonna be a good outcome. just be cautious of your surrounds. look left and right before going. after hearing stories about drunks and red light cutters, i always look before i start to roll.
being cautious is all you can do. theres a lot of bad drivers out there.

Forbes is ignoring death statistics, explicitly, and making their own measure of safety. Bah.
I think most of us around here have seen how well the S protects the passengers in accidents and of course how nimble the car is to begin with.
Note, they mention how bad the death toll is on 350Zs, and *that's* a real measure. Though, I agree with their point that it's not just about the car. Well, DUH!
You have to decide what's important to you here. I just think Forbes is sticking their necks out and (IMO) talking out their patooties on this one. They've got a lot of nerve.
