Hype, they're not rated 1 through 10. It's just the 10 best; none better than the others. I think the 10 best list is usually a pretty good representation of the best cars available. They seem to pick from different types of cars, not just all sports cars. There's some cars that I wouldn't want that are on the list, but that doesn't mean that they aren't good cars.

I completely disagree, I have been reading Carr & Driver for YEARS and I have a subscription for years in the future. Its by far the most non-biased rag there is. They tell ya when its a piece of crap (Toyota Ecco) and they tell you when its the best (S2000)...
