One thing I remember about my first B, a 63, no syncro in first was driving it real hard!!!!!!!!!!! REAL HARD. Lots of cornering, lots of powershifting and it took it all. I put it up[ agains the best Detroit had at the time and the little 4 banger held its own (well not 1/4 mile wise but) For all the hard driving and worn through old belted tires, the mechanical drive train stood up to just about everthing I could throw at it. )(Note my 79 with 400 hp still has the stock rear end in it and does not get babied)
Clutchs sucked, brakes wore out, electricals, a nightmare (Lucas Prince of Darkenss - nuff said). When I took my S out on the Tire Rack track a week ago for the first time a lot of those old hard driving exepriences came back quick for me.

I don't really see the S2000 as being all that similar to an MGB - if you have to compare it to an old British car I think it is closer to the Jensen Healy.
MGBs were everywhere. Jensen Healys were not.
MGBs were slow and had old technology - even when they were new.![smile.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The J-H was powered by a cool 2 liter - high revving (7,000rpm IIRC) high hp (for it's time) and was rather lightweight.

o, so anyways... I've never driven a Jensen Healey, I loved the body style, all long and swoopy...
but I loved driving the B, underpowered as it was, it was a fun car and I had a big giant old pioneer 3 system stuck in it and with the british racing racket going on, the music was way better...
and with the S, I have the xm radio, but I mostly have the radio volume down or off... it's a fine sounding sewing machine sound that I'm just waiting to get one of those Spugen exhausts on!!!...*heck yeah*
