Some lady said to me, "I didn't know they made that in a convertable. That looks real nice!! ".

I was thinking, "huh??". I never really asked her what she was thinking. I just said "thanks", and drove off

You should be honored to have your S2000 called a del Sol. Whether you know it or not, Honda was able to create our S2000 using most principles they learned from the del Sol (and for example the Targa top on the NSX which is a duplicate of the del sol's). Any Del Sol owner (VTEC owner) who now owns an S2000 can tell you just how similar the 2 cars really are.

I walked into a bar and stepped up to the bar one time with a guy drunk sitting there drinking asked me if I was the guy driving out front with the new silver Porsche. He proceeded to tell me how he used to build them at the Porsche plants and mine was a great example of its design. I never told him it was a Honda...

I've had just about all the wrong guesses listed in this thread, but last weekend, driving through the touristy area in Baltimore (Harbor Place), I was at a red light/crosswalk when a huge group of tourists crossed the street in fron of me. A kid about 6-7 yrs old said to his father "hey dad!! Look at that cool Vette!!"

Ahh youth

I suppose Im the only one whos S2000 was mistaken for a new Celica?! She was under the impression that the headlights were the same

Another guy said "Are you sure thats not an Acura?"

I said, "Umm no, Im not really sure . . . Duh"

My major insult came when I got my first ticket. The cop wrote "Civic" in the "vehicle type" blank on the ticket. Another time a sweet young thing asked me if it was the new del Sol convertible.
