S2000 New body
Suppose you have an S2000 in the garage. Will it go any faster or handle any better if they stop production? No.
Will it be worth more? May be.
So basically you are putting your greed ahead of others enjoyment. I am so sick these juvenile "I've got an S, nobody else should have one!" threads.
Fact is, if they stop producing the S any time soon the aftermarket will drop it like a dead rat and even OEM parts will become hard to get. Personally I hope Honda keep producing the S so that others can enjoy it and it is improved through further development so much that one day I am inspired to sell my 00 and buy the updated model.

BTW Congratulations for your new title
I don't think it's juvenile or vane. One thing that makes a sports car a collectible is limited production numbers. Let infiniti and nissan make all the G35 coupes and 350 Zs they want. Those are awesome cars, and great to drive, but in 20 years they'll still be a dime a dozen, and people will be searching for a nice S2000. IMO of course.
My point is, what advantage is it to you if they stop production? If you think it will be a valuable collectors item that will make others admire and wish to have sex with you then get your hand off it. It's a production car and they'll make 'em while people want them.
If you just want to deny others the pleasure, then that's selfish.
As for those predicting iminent change or cessation, I've been here long enough to know that it's all just gum flapping and a total waste of VTEC time.

True. That was hondas original intention. Aus S2000, my point is not to deprive others from having the S2000 experience. I may not even have mine that long, but in 15-20 years I hope to still be surprised and excited if I get to see an S2000 on the road rather than like, hey there's an S2000 and there's an Accord. I dont think it's selfish, juvenile, or vane. It's just the way sports cars hold their "special" value, not just monetary value. Is it selfish for Ferrari to produce 399 Enzos when there are more than 399 people who want one? Is Ferrari being juvenile and vane so that people want to have sex with them for their cars?? ( well, maybe) Anyways, after all this discussion, if I want to have sex, I'll just whip it out and they'll come running...and my pimp ride is just a bonus!

And that's juvenile.

I'm a greedy a$$hole I don't want others to enjoy it. Everyone else can just go to hell. This is mine mine all mine! STOP PRODUCTION PROTEST!!!!
I would hope that Honda would let the S2000 have its place in the sun and come out with a newly designed model in 2006-2007. I would move toward something in the likes of an S3000 maybe with a 300+hp high reving 6 or a boosted 4. The 3000 can reflect the 6 cylinder displacement or the HP of the boosted 4 cylinder.
Just my thoughts.
Just my thoughts.
