The Ferrari engine I would'nt do even though it sounds cool. An unreliable engine is still an unreliable engine
uh...where the "blank" did you get that idea.

one of the very best engines out there and absolutely reliable. I know because my choice in the morning for the drive to work is 8k redline or 8.5k redline

^not to nitpick, but why? Is it cuz you wanted to keep the engine from the same manufacture? If so, MAJOR props, just wanted to know the reasoning behind it. but just wondering cuz if you wanted more torque, go V8/LSx, if you wanted more revs: I guess you really cant: if you want dynoqueen status go 2J...

Its something different: from the LSx swap and the 2jz swaps we've been seeing, and it looks really well done. I;m sure anything can be done with the right amount of skill and money - hell, id love to see a ferrari V8 that revs to 8.5+ in there.

it's cool but... what exactly are the benefits than swapping other types of engine in there?

i would do the swap, if i had the money. lol i would be able to keep my stock cluster. being able to keep the 8K redline, hum although my engine revs to 8.5K. yeah the NSX-R engine was something like 290 hp. right. hum anyone now the hp, tq and liter the nsx-r was? any who that would be awesome. i would only guess the reason behind this would be able to say they made a swap and keeping it all honda! i think the handling would be slightly effected.

Sorry I'd heard the F430 engine was better than any previous Ferrari but that didn't say much to me. Also has anyone put significant enough miles "say 100k" w/o any major overhauls to back up your absolutely reliable statement?

I do runs with the local Ferrari group and it never fails that at least one has problems. Don't see the guy with the F430 that much but he's proud of the fact that it always starts. Not sure of his mileage though either.
