i had 16*7 fronts with 35mm offsets..... the car was lowered and had a semi normal alignment.... they rubbed when you hit bumps and I did not want to take it to the track with them on.

i also had 16*8 rears with 45mm offsets and that seems to be about the limit on the back without rubbing.

You did not state what widths you wanted, so it is hard to answer your question........

I put snow tires on the rear (same size tire) of my MY04 using 17x8 inch Konig Verdicts, which turn out to have a 40mm offset. The tires do hit the fender on bumps, so we're going to 17x7 and a different tire size. Discount Tire (after not checking at first, apparently) is saying a 17x8 needs a 50mm offset.

The offset will depend on the width. If you have a particular rim in mind. You might as well list it. It's easier for me to look at what's available in that rim (providing it's listed on line) and tell you what will work. A big lip is going to require you to roll your fender. I doubt you'll ever get more then a 3" lip on the s2000. It's just the way our high offsets work.
