Mine has a plastic rear window when the top is up and it is very difficult to see out of. Someone I know had a 2002 for a while with a glass rear window. Is it at all possible for me to switch to a window like that?

That and the most immediate thing you can do is buy some Meguiars Plastx. Works wonders.
