my main question is, will the accident be on the car fax? i reported it to insurance and they covered the cost. the car was repaired 100% and i have pictures and documents for the check and other things.
So, does that mean if it doesn't show up in CarFax, that you wouldn't tell a prospective buyer about the accident? I'm certainly not making moral judgements here, but its one of those karma things. Imagine how pissed you'd be if someone did that to you and you found out later.

Not sure if there are legal issues about disclosure when selling cars, but that might be an issue too.

id wan't someone to tell me, so id tell them. the car's fixed right, and i have pictures of the progress and repairs. not to mention the insurance check copy and the body shop invoices when i get them. so i really have all the proof in the world to show a potential buyer their getting a good s2000.

That's probably the best thing to do and I'm sure a lot of people don't keep any records of the damage done and the repairs that followed.

If you were to show a potential buyer the damage and have reciepts and documentation showing the repairs, that should put a buyer's worries at ease.

I still hope you get to keep the car.

Good luck.
