Default S2000 to the rescue?

I was leaving campus today when I saw this poor, old Asian man on the side of the road next to his ancient Toyota with the hood up.

Decided to stop and see if I could help. Turned out car died so I hooked up some jumper cables and he tried to crank the engine and it wouldn't work. I checked the coil plug connections, cable, etc etc so I go in his car and it was in drive so I put it in park and cranked the engine and it turned over! The smile on his face was one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen. He then told me was trying to get to the local courthouse but was lost so I had him follow me there.

I don't think I've ever made a stranger that genuinely happy before - I'm still sort of emotional about it all.

It's sort of strange cause if I was stranded on the side of the road, I think the last type of car I'd expect to pull over to help would be a tiny, two seater sports car. Well that's my good deed; anyone else done good things to others in their S?

That's awesome man, well done.

Last week I had one guy in the remote company's car park that he couldn't start his car either.

I would have helped if I he had the jumper cables as there is not much space to waste for such things in the S

I helped a lady jump her car a couple winters ago. It was a Friday afternoon and the work lot was already half empty. Lucky for her, I keep a jump pack in the trunk through the winter. It's such an easy problem to resolve but all you can do is kick rocks if you don't have the tools to jump yourself.

P.S. Your rear view mirror could use some nerd-ware. http://store.valvesoftware.com/product.php?i=P0633

Good job helping a person out, I haven't helped anyone out with a jump or anything in the S.
But I do tend to attract more gas beggars.

I got lucky because the first thing I asked was if he had cables cause I know I didn't - used to in my old car but I forgot to put them in the trunk of my S

I have noticed a lot of beggars insist on looking at me while they're walking by....

Good job.

Side note: a set of heavy duty cables fit fine inside the spare tire in the trunk, along with a small collection of useful breakdown kit items.
