S2000 ride quality.
Depends on what you're looking for. I love the suspension, but I drive the car pretty hard every day. The best way to describe it would be that it lets you feel the road, but takes all the edges off. Big holes do jar a bit, but you learn to dodge them quickly in a car this low. For just cruising, the suspension isn't bad at all either.
S2000's are sports cars so they will ride harsher than a family sedan. But the chassis and suspension are designed very well from the factory, so it shouldn't have a bone-jarring ride unless something has been changed or there is some kind of damage.
Honda has changed the suspension settings 3 or 4 times since the S2000 was released in 2000. In general, 00-01 will ride the stiffest, 02-03 a little softer, 04-08 a little softer. The 08 CR is set up for the autocross and track days, so it is stiffer than any of the normal model years.
Other things that can cause the ride to be harsh:
1. Too much tire pressure. I've seen cars set at 40 psi from the dealership.
2. Spring spacers. There are rubber spacers installed while the cars are shipped from Japan, sometimes the dealer forgets to remove them.
3. Aftermarket suspension. Depending on the spring rate and shock quality the suspension can ride better than stock or much worse than stock.
4. Wear. A used car can have a blown shock or worn bushings etc. that can cause the suspension to ride harsh.
5. Tires. Some brands and versions of tires ride stiffer than others. And, a worn tire usually rides harsher than a new tire.
If you're buying a used car you should go test drive a new 08 so you can get an idea of how the suspension should feel.

You need to explain what your concept of "bad" is. The s2k is a generally low/no frills high performance sports car. The suspension is stiff so the car is nailed to the pavement, and when one straps into the cockpit, one is nailed to the car. You are definately going to feel rough pavement. The driver's seat is designed to hold the driver in place during extreme manuvering, so don't expect to easily be able to do things like get stuff out of your pants pockets, twist left/right, or do any side leaning. Car wise, about as close as you can get to strapping into the cockpit of an aerobatic aircraft. The car is built for a very small segment of the population. Always drive one around for a while before buying.

I mean like is it bad enough that you can't daily drive it. Because I'm planning to get one around 03-05.
Go drive one. Too subjective of a question to ask....especially online.
