I apologize in advance for accusing someone w/o proof.

If I had to guess, I would say they are probably stolen...like those that are taken from Schatten and my car

I've seen some posted on The Parts Trader before. They were going for just as much as a set of Recaro's.

That's the first thing I thought too, that they were probably stolen.

Genuine S2000 Seats - USD$3750 Each
Genuine Integra Type R Recaro Seats - USD$2500 Each

A friend was unlucky to get his set stolen from his Integra Type R and insurance was looking up figures to replace them. Honda gave them a quote of how much it was since my friend was willing to pay extra to put S2000 seats in his R. But when he found out how much they are worth, he understood why people are hot to steal them. I'm afraid that I don't know many people who are willing to buy these seats direct, it's just too expensive.

My stomach turned when I saw that....

Let's see, the seats are worth more than the car...somehow, I don't think he paid for them.

Just a hunch...

I suggest that everyone etch your VIN #'s under your seats. This way, it is easier to check if a seat is stolen. Ideally, if there is a way to mark it on the visible parts of the seat - like the hard plastic piece behind the headreast that would be good.
