Default S2000 Seats Components

I have all-black seats and want to convert them to black-red. I know it'll cost a fortune to buy all the parts for new seats. So I'm wondering if it's possible to only get 002, 012 and 016 from the following (since those are the only parts with red):

https://www.hondapartsdeals.com/honda_parts...component=B++40

Then replace those parts on to my existing seats? i.e. would it be possible to take apart an existing seat? Or is it one of those things that you could only assemble, but can't take apart.

I don't really have an option of swapping the entire seat with someone else, as S2000s are quite rare in where I live.

Thanks

Those are the seat covers. Yes, you can buy them. In fact, that is the only way to buy seats new -- as individual parts. That is a small fortune in seat covers, though. 3K US$ more or less. Might be easier to steal someone else's seats.......juuuuuust kidding. Would you be changing the door inserts as well?

You can typically reupholster the interior for like $1kUS. There's also a guy in Atlanta that does custom interiors, but thats in the USA.

I think I'd just buy some aftermarket non-leather Recaro's or simular.
You can swap them out at will, sell or trade for something else. In your case, this would probobly be the most economically feasable.

I'd look around and/or post a wanted ad on the forums for a "I'll trade for your perfect red/black seats and door panel (etc), my black set plus $(whatever)."

I understand wanting OE seats as opposed to an upholstery job, but I thought the OE seats typically sell for $1000-$1500 on eBay, so you may want to see if you can save some money over paying $2000+ for just inserts by either trading or buying someone else's and then selling yours.

That does get you used seats, not new ones, but I just wanted to make the suggestion in case new vs used doesn't matter as much to you as the price and labor difference.

Also, the eBay sale value of the S2000 seats makes aftermarket seats very cheap if you choose to sell your OE seats and put that money against the cost of aftermarket seats, but it sounds like you may have already ruled that out, and it may devalue the resale of the car by the cost of the seats anyways.

I don't mind used ones if they are in good condition. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the US / Canada and do not have access to used S2000 parts. The S2000 is extremely small in where I live, and no one sells these things here.

I wanted to stay OEM instead of Recaro, especially given that my car is very stock. I also prefer the stock look and how 04-05 OEM seats flush well with the roll-hoops.

Anyway, 3K for those 4 parts definitely ain't cheap, but I'm okay with that if it gets what I need.
