I don't find the S2000's at the limit handling remotely appealing. It's fun when you're trolling around on the street at 5/10ths....but at 10/10ths, there are far better cars to be driving.

The car is tail happy. Yes, of course it is the driver, cars tend to just sit there without a driver. But compared with other RWD sportscars, the S undoubtedly has some handling traits that require a lot of skill to manage.

One time I fell off my bike, but it was because there was a car at a stop sign. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm starting to think the bike was to blame.

IF anyone thinks the S2k is tough to drive wait until you drive a Porsche 911 and lift of the throttle at an almost normal speed.

It's both. This car has always been tail-happy.
The car is tail happy, but it's still the driver's fault. It's your responsibility to drive within the limits (slow down) or adjust your car's handling balance to safely increase the limits / tendency to spin. You have a lot of adjustment options via a combination of air pressures, spring rates, sway bars, shock valving etc.
