I have 3 questions:

1. To get any strength out of the engine do I have to keep it going on 6000 rpm and + , for it to deliver the kind of power i need to acutally feel like Im in a sports car?

I want my car to be able to have good strength even at, lets say 3000-4000 rpm, what does the car deliver at those numbers? Does the s2000 have that little pusch on the back as you "put the pedal through the metal"?

2. I am 192 cm tall ( 6.23" ), will I be able to drive the lil` thing? I certainly hope so because I think I`ve found the car Ive been searching for. I will be very disapointed if my lenght are to decide if I am going to own this car or not...

3. Ive read som threads about the top on s2000, are there any differences on the cabs (tops) from the first modell 00" to the 03" modell? and is the hardtop really a hardtop? heard something about it lookin like a hardtop but still being able to flip it down.. or something...

answers are appreciated

Best Regards
/Kenny

The power of the S2000 from 0-6000 is nothing spectacular but no slouch either. Its perfect for around town driving. VTEC, past 6000 is where you get a surge of power that you can feel pin u back on your seat. You are not really going to have that strong sensation since there is little torque, notheless its still there.

As far as your height goes, you will be fine. Many memebrs on teh board are over 6 feet and have no problems. Plus you can lower the seat with a simple mod.

I'm afraid not, it may seem like an ocean to you. Being half a foot tall, there are many limitations .

The engine hits it peak horsepower at around 8300 RPM. Believe me, you'll feel like you're in a sports car, because that's what this is. It's one of the most fun best roadsters made.

I want my car to be able to have good strength even at, lets say 3000-4000 rpm, what does the car deliver at those numbers? Does the s2000 have that little pusch on the back as you "put the pedal through the metal"?

It all depends how you drive it. I feel the push in the back all the time and I don't really drive it that hard.

2. I am 192 cm tall ( 6.23" ), will I be able to drive the lil` thing? I certainly hope so because I think I`ve found the car Ive been searching for. I will be very disapointed if my lenght are to decide if I am going to own this car or not...

You should fit just fine. I'm 6' tall and have plenty of room. It fits me like a glove.

3. Ive read som threads about the top on s2000, are there any differences on the cabs (tops) from the first modell 00" to the 03" modell? and is the hardtop really a hardtop? heard something about it lookin like a hardtop but still being able to flip it down.. or something...

Model years '00 and '01 have a plastic rear window. after that there is a glass rear window. The rest of the top is the same material. The hard top is hard, but removeable. It doesn't flip down.

He's exagerating what you wrote as being "six point two three" INCHES or about 1/2 a foot tall.

The hardtop is removable. Here's a photo of it not on the car:

the s2k produces only 153 or pd-ft at the flywheel, but with the short gearing of the transmission, it makes it feel faster than you would think. the s2k has adequete power below 6k rpm for city driving and is no slouch. if you're used to big block chevy's with 300+ pd-ft torque, than you'll be kind of disappointed. im not and thats what matters.
