This thread is an interesting role reversal. Americans are known for concern over a car's straight-line acceleration while Europeans are more commonly interested in handling and the balance of the overall package.

1) for getting around the city, keeping the car around 3-4k rpm is enough power, but yes, you have to bring it past 6k to feel like its going fast. Under 6k the car imo is pretty slow. Even when you put the "pedal to the metal" your not going to get "pushed back" very much, because of the car's low torque. Most of the time the car "feels" like its going slower than it actually is even when redlining the car. I love this car, but if you want a drag car, this might not be the best bet. If you want an awesome suspension, awesome look, and awesome go-kart feel, this is the car for you. I hope this helps you.

Thanks a bunch for all the answers.
Appreciate it.

Though i was wondering what to go for about the top.
IF the hard top is removeable, why not go for a hard top?
Sweden do have some really bad weather sometimes but also very nice weather, we have a nice mix =)

And if it`s not too much of a job to get the hard top of, then i think im gonna go for that. Is it possible to get the hardtop off alone without any machines or straps and stuff?

Kenny, you'll need two people to handle the hard top. There's rumor going around that Honda is planning on an S2200 coupe. It's supposed to have around 250 hp and a little more torque. If you're not in a rush, you might want to wait. Unless, of course, you really want the roadster.

yeah, from what I understand. If you are going with the hardtop, you will be further increasing your car's weight. I don't know if that is an issue for you, or if the extra weight is that significant.

Why is it that every time some one asks a question about torque or down low power, the mention of a drag car is brought up?

As fas as down low power, the car has none worth mentioning. I drove an Olds last week as a rental car and when I got back in my car, I felt like I wasn't getting any pull below 5000 RPMs. It's all relative though. If you are use to driving a BMW, Mercedes, Nissan, or any American car then you will probably feel like this car has no down low power, but if you have been driving a Civic or Mazda then you will be satisfied. It just depends on what you are use to.

I came from a Civic so I didn't know what to expect. But what really messed me up is the fact that I also looked at a C5, a BMW 330, and a SLK 320 as my other options. After I test drove the other cars, I got use to feeling that down low power. When I bought the S2000 ( I didn't really go for a "real" test drive before I bought the car) I felt like the car was loud and wasn't producing any power.

The car is fine on the highway when you can just down shift, but I don't enjoy driving below 45 MPH on a regular street. The clutch vibrates too much and the engine is always whining. Then you have to decide if you want to put up with the whining engine or shift up and lose power. I don't drive my car anymore to work and only drive it on the freeway now when I can really enjoy it. Drivinig this car slow is nothing but a waste of gas.

DarioManfretti:

Oh, thats some great news for me

You wouldnt happend to know if they realese those cars here in Sweden? and what the retail price will be?

Not sure Honda Sweden will import that car, they have a very restricted import plan according to my knowledge.

Though i am very intersted in the S2200 coupe, will keep my eyes open for sure.

You wouldnt happend to have any info page about the car or some specs?
