Things I heard from various booth reps....
1) Comptech CAI retails at ~$400
2) K&N will have an S2000 specific application debut on 1-1-02
3) Vortech SC is not yet optimized, so no dynos sheet. Will be less than $6k. No word yet on CARB approval.

Well, I didn't get to see the entire show, but I saw the stuff I knew was going to be there. Here are my S2000 specific pics, including....

Vortech SC, Comptech CAI, Comptech Reinforced Rear End Housing, etc.

S2000 specific pics from SEMA

Here are all my SEMA pics (270 total)

Thanks for the post DJ. The Comptech CAI looks pretty neat. I also love that Vortec SC. Things are looking good for all of us.

it's essentially the same airbox they have for the SC, plus some kind of resonance chamber - pretty neat.

comptech also have a reinforced LSD housing of some kind, maybe mike B can explain to us what it is when he gets back.

The comptech CAI is the best design I have seen so far...

Shamu,

Ahh man...I wish. I made my comment about the comptech CAI "being a good design" from checking out the pictures.

I like the intake because it uses plastic, air filter tubing is short, and it draws air from the front bumper area.

hehehe...that's cool -- not trying to flame or anything, just thought you might have some 'inside info' that you were leaking out!

as for CAI's, it seems that most of the designs are the same 'concept' (i.e. air from the front bumper)....
