hey guys/gals.i realize im a new to this forum but not to cars. i will hopefully be joining the S2K community very soon but i can't seem to find any threads on the comparison between the F20 and F22 motors especially when forced induction is the main topic. any help on finding threads would be greatly appreciated.i basicly just want to know which motor can w/ stand more punishment. im more interested in the F22 models but would it be wise for me to buy especially since im going to mod the car. or would the F20 be a wiser choice? l

Did you consider searching in the "Forced Induction" section?

The short answer is: doesn't matter. People have boosted both. If you're going crazy boost, you may have to build your engine anyway.

There are some benefits with the valve retainers of F22s, but nothing you can't upgrade on an F20.

 

^^^ yes i have,only reason i ask b/c i have been searching and i've seen numerous 03 S2000's running 550+ hp on the stock motor and have yet to see any w/ the f22's.that was my main concern! but thank you very much w/ the help
