S2000 thefts?
Anyone had or heard of S2000's being stolen?
I just had an Integra Type R stolen and was wondering how many S2000's have been stolen out there. I would hope the theft deterent helps but if someone really wants one they will get it I guess.

i have heard of peoples cars being broken into, but not stolen. i also heard that the s2000 is very hard to steel for some reason. people don't like talking about it just in case car jackers are reading. Also sorry to hear about your type r being stolen.

Not to be a jerk or anything but...
Why is it that some s2000 owners don't bother getting car alarms? If you can spend so much on buying the car, might as well fork out a bit of $$$ for a good alarm.

The "Black Jax" option on some high end Clifford alarms is the only effective system I have heard of. I have eight S2K customers, my own, and know three other owners in the area. None has been stolen and noone wants the factory stereo. I do know that the seats are gaining in popularity with ghetto punks as a smash & grab item to slap into Civics and Intergras.
The s2000 key contains a microchip and the car WILL NOT RUN without it (even with a copied key). I saw that the ITR was the most stolen car for 2001 (with something like 21 out of every 1000 being stolen). The ITR is popular to steal because the engine drops right into a civic. Thankfully, the S2K engine drops right into, well only another s2k.
