You keep adding to his scenario.

He's not saying what the right thing to do is, he's just saying moving object that you hit, not at fault, not moving and you hit it, your fault.

If you damage your car or another car in the process of avoiding the object (moving or not) YOU are at fault.
sheesh! thanks mikey. good grief, we were talking about hitting a tire. i didn't ask my adjuster about every possible scenario that may come up on the road. only about the tire. well and the deer i suppose different insurance companies may look at it differently, but that was the response i got from mine, and i was happy with it.

I'm not adding anything to the scenario, I'm saying that the insurance companies are f'ed up.

painted ap2v2 rims ftw

i had the same accident on freeway too, hit part of a shredded tire going at 80 but it only got the passenger side of my bumper a few scratches.
also knocked out the oem front grill as well, so now the grill is loose just chilling there.

i just wish these people would clean after there mess. if my tire blew up on the freeway and left crap of crap, i would have walk and picked up each piece while dodging traffic. pshhh lazy americans

Youch! Lots of force in that hit..

I -very- narrowly avoided a folded aluminum ladder with my Prelude a few years back. THAT would have been interesting.
