Near the end of the opening post with link.
Wow. I don't know how that one got past me. I am running 275 series front tires at Miller Motorsports Park (ie. big braking loads). Very good to know. I'll have the welds reinforced by a buddy.

Thanks for the link, Ckit!

1. The CR has a quicker (same ratio as an AP1) steering rack than a standard AP2.
2. There's a rear brace in the CR where the soft top would be. But putting in a roll bar (or cage) would probably make more of a difference than the brace ever would.
3. I hate my AEM EMS. It's a PITA. I'd rather FlashPro a DBW.

My opinion on VSA for the track. Too intrusive for a good driver in the dry. Probably a good thing for a ham-fisted new driver learning the limits.

In the wet for a mediocre driver... probably a good thing.

Just for Saki: RACELOGIC TRACTION CONTROL!!!!! You can adjust at what amounts of slip it kicks in. You can also adjust how much it kicks in and at what rpms. If you didn't have a budget and you were looking to have an additional level of safety, I'd go that route.
1. I agree. But this is a small factor. You could always swap it in.
2. With a Roll bar or cage, this thing would have to be removed anyway. I agree that with a bar/cage it would also be stiffer already.
3. Why? Mine works great. No issues at all.

FlashPro and DBW you would still need the emissions stuff intact or you would have a CEL. So for a full out race car, I think a full standalone is the best option.

It may have something to do with you being in Texas and me... not so much. Cold start is annoying. You need different maps just for different ambient temperatures. Our temperature swings more than 90 degrees between seasons....

It sounds to me like your temp compensation table is pretty off. Sure, you might need to touch up between winter and summer but it shouldn't be drastic. Would you like my temp table. I believe it's the most up-to-date.

so cr steering rack swap and racelogic traction control (if i decide i need it) would probably be the way to go.
