Default oil filler cap left off

After 200 miles I opened my hood and saw my oil filler cap sitting on my airbox, I had forgotten to replace it. The triangular reinforcement in the hood had sheltered it from falling off. Is this another example of Honda making their cars foolproof? I love my s.

Hahah I did this a year ago or so. A little oil sprayed the underside of the hood and on the valve cover but not too much. Oil cap was still there when I popped the hood the next day as well!!

This is just another reason why you should never slam your hood shut! I just set mine closed, then put even pressure with both palms above the latch and it latches easily. No chance of a missed tool tending your aluminum hood.

I just double/triple check everything I did before I close the hood, everytime. A good habit to have. Good thing nothing broke, consider yourself lucky.
