What boat is that? A Johnson 18?

I wouldn't think a boat that light should be a problem as it really isn't any more weight up hills than two people and a full trunk. Still, best to go easy.

Well, before you drive away, you better remove that block from in font of the trailer wheel. After you do that you'll be fine. Several of us trailer our race tires and gear in a small trailer to autocrosses. What hitch did you get, the D'Lan?

Is it really hooked up or is that a joke? It probably isn't the best thing to do for the transmission or clutch for that matter. It think it specifically says not to tow a trailer in the owners manual. How much does that trailer/boat combo weigh? I'm pretty sure that if you do have a problem with the drivetrain and your dealer sees that trailer hitch, they will not honor your warranty. And be careful of steep, slippery boat ramps.

I read in the Honda Manual that the S was not to tow anything under any circumstances. I could have misread though. Can someone tell me if I am right or wrong??

That little boat should be no problem. AutoXers tow tire trailers with their S2000s all the time. A tire trailer with a set of wheel/tires and all the gear is easily 250-300lbs. I can't imagine that that little fiberglass boat and trailer is much more than that.

Yep, I tow a tire trailer and a kayak trailer with no problems. You do notice the extra weight but i try not to do donuts with one attached. I use the Gendron hitch with a stainless steel plate on the inside of the trunk.
