I'd say the S2000's high x-bone chassis is a fitting tribute to it's chassis insiration - the original Lotus Elan.
Also, the S2000 handles stiff stock shocks very well. The only negative point I'd say is front sub frame flex. That's why the X-Brace is so effective.
The ultimate S2000 suspension for me would be this:
X-Brace as standard
Handling/Shocks by Lotus. I'm sure it would be more supple, but would be more progressive, and still grip like a limpet.
Sadly, unless I become a multi-millonaire and hire Lotus to do it, I doubt it will happen

You don't have to convince me Brian.
I've had no doubts about the chassis from day one. Some of the people who carp about the cars handling, should realise that there probably isn't a better chassis on the planet..... period! The same goes for the gear shift. Add in the awesome F20C engine, and I'm often left wondering what people want or expect from a sports car!

I'm happy to accept the bump steer criticism from those who track (race) the car, or who drive on rough road surfaces. All I can say is it isn't something I've experienced. Without wanting to provoke another argument that's been done to death anyway, not everyone who tracks the car agrees on the bump steer issue anyway!

Hey.. agreed! The siting of the damned air intake is something that could be improved very simply and cheaply by Honda and offered as standard!

Besides, I've invested so much time looking at how to get cold air all the time, under the weather conditions I drive in, I'd hate Honda to solve it on later cars!
