This knob was on the car when I bought it. I always thought it was from the CR but is this the Civic R knob?

Yup, looks like the one I have (except yours looks shinier, for some reason). The FD2-R knob is the same as the CR one except the latter has yellow lettering instead of yellow.

Yes, and the Type R knob sits a little bit higher if you use the lock nut.
