By no means should any one doubt the new Z. It's motor is very linear. Power is always on tap even from right off the line.

"In all fairness to the Z, did you drive the track version of it? That is supposed to be a nice car."

No I did not get to drive the Track model. In my opinion why would I want to. I think the only diff is the tires, wheels, brakes, badging, and maybe a spoiler. There is no track version of the S2000. The S2000 is track ready as a base model. It was never designed for everyone. That is what brings me to love it soo much. I just wanted to compare to very capable cars. I think the S has everything I need from A to Z!

A good amount of info above, and personal comments. I am the original owner and still have my 1971, TR-6, thought it was the last of sports cars. But, when it saw, drove, and in November 02 got the 2003, S2000 it has become my second love. Before purchasing it test drove a group of different vehicles in the $35-45 range and it was the S2000, that did it for me. All the information in magazines, on the net, and personal testimonies are great. But ultimately a sports car is a personal preference and each individual knows it when its right. Take care S2000 drives and enjoy.

When I test drive a 350Z, shifting by the sound of the engine, I keep hitting the fuel cutoff

Maybe I'm a little newer to the S sceen but what I mean by the whole four cylinder comment was that I was AMAZED by the power output of 2.0L NA 4 cylinder. Again the first sports car I had ever been in was a Super Beetle.
