S2000 Up Against the S4
Trending Topics
A4 is quite a bit different from S4 (and, of course, Autocross performance indicates little or nothing about straightline, stoplight to stoplight acceleration).
Tests have clocked stock S4 at around 5.9 to 60. That's competitive with an S2000 though probably a bit slower with two equally skilled drivers.
Sounds like it would come down to launch and luck.

Me thinks the S4 will have the advantage more consistantly with the huge amount of torque is has on tap that peaks at such a low RPM. Not to mention that an easily installed chip usually propells S4's into the 300hp range.
They may be a little boring looking but they're damn quick.
I myself wouldn't mind owning a RS4 if they actually sold it in the states. Talk about embarrasing most supercars in a station wagon!
