S2000 values and quick comparison
recently traded in a 2006 S on an 11' accord coupe v6
1st thing that shocked me, the trade in value (with a slashed roof) that the dealer gave me was $18k, slightly less than private party sale in excellent condition of $18,600 with 46k miles..
so i guess the moral of the story is cherish your S2k, its worth a lot!!
S2k vs 2011 accord coupe v6
1st the the obvious, S has more grip, better handling, better acceleration from a stop and better braking... way better braking
accord is smooother, more refined, spacious
here are the shocker items though
i feel the accord has better steering feel and better steering... it has a mechanical rack and pinion steering vs the electric steering in the s
the accord has more front end grip, makes sense since it has wider tires and more weight up front
the accord actually has better acceleration from a roll, since it has more low end torque, more top end power and better aero
, again makes sense since the majority of v6 accord coupes tested have trapped the qrtr mile above 100mph, which is faster than the S's trap speed but the S has better 0-60
either way i think 0-60 is better and still miss my S, its only been a day

^ 2 entirely different cars with different purposes. But nice to see a stealership paying decent money for an S in trade unless they raped you on the retail of the 11 accord.

Good trade in value.
31k before taxes would be a fully loaded accord at list pricing.
I've found that the trade in thing is really just a game. The more they give you on the trade in the less they take off the price. I expect to see 8-10% off dealers pricing for new and 15ish on used cars - specifics of the deal need to be factored in.
Sad to see you go from an S to an Accord. They are two very different vehicles. Good you stayed in the Honda family.
Dealer will likely fix the roof and try to sell for 24-27k for your s.
